Yukon Quest

Well the last post I gave I did not want to say what I was doing yet to make sure all plans would come together. I was not sure but now it looks real promising that we are leaving at the end of Sept for the north country. We signed up for the Yukon Quest. When we were at the Warren County Fair people were asking why the Quest and not the Iditarod? There are many answers to that but I guess the main one is the money. We can probably do the Quest for 20,000 dollars where the Iditarod is around 50,000. Iditarod is certainly going through some growing pains right now which most people know and I think this is the best for myself and the dogs. We have a place to stay and thanks to Dave Clunie, Elenor Shelton, and Henry Shaffer who stepped up to the plate to help us through sponsorship we are on our way. Everyone at Warren County Fair and all the other fundraisers that we have been doing a big thanks for the support to help get us there. As we start packing, driving and training we will update this site more often so do keep a look out. We do have a new t-shirt design if anyone is interested it combines my 09 Iditarod with the Quest for 2011 and of course Cotton on the front. Anyone interested can email me at choprwmn@yahoo.com.
