Default Wilderness 100

Hi, It has been a hard year with lots of races being cancelled because of lack of snow. The Wilderness 100 was cancelled but they did pull of a 30 miler. The organizers did a great job and lots of people helping. The race people and the fans were super. We were not going to go and then decided to take our puppies up and give them a shot at their first race and traveling in the truck. It was a great experience for them and we had a ball. We put Cotton, my Iditarod leader that everyone knows, with Frosty a pup. The other pups that went were cyclone, and Vista. I could not have asked them to do any better and it gave me a chance to remember what fun racing was all about. Our time was somewhere around 2 hours and 40 min and I had the brake on the whole time to make sure they did not go to fast and hurt themselves on the first race. Thanks to Jean and Diane for taking the trip with me and the kids and getting no sleep for two days. Hope everyone is having a great winter. KIM
