Hi Everyone, I am still in NJ but we are training dogs. Everyday that the temp is below 50 degrees we are out on the Paulinskill Trail running the guys. We have quite a few yearlings this year and getting them up to speed is fun considering we have not done young ones in 5 years.
Dr. Z from Warren Animal Hospital came out and gave all the shots (required for the races) for the kids. This is his second year with us and a huge asset and I would highly recommend him as a vet to anyone. I had a concern about Sassie with a lump on her chest and had him look at it. He suggested I bring her to his office and he would remove it and send it out for biopsy. It returned as cancer and she went down hill so fast that she could not even stand. Dr. Z took me in right away when I called and said she was not doing well and a joint decision was made to put her to rest. She was one of my Iditarod dogs and will be missed very, very much. Thank you Warren Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Z for the understanding and cards for this.
See you on the trail. KIM
